The Heritage Centre is located in Pole Barn lane, Frinton on Sea.

The project, made possible by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Garfield Weston Foundation and the Rural England Prosperity Fund, opened with a small exhibition about the local area. This opening gave a glimpse of what the Heritage Centre will offer when it opens permanently next year.

Representing the areas of Kirby Cross, Kirby-le-Soken, Gt. Holland, Frinton and Walton, the Trust will be consulting locals and visitors to the area about what they would like to see in the Heritage Centre. John Barter (Chair & Trustee) says: Over the next 18 months, our new and existing volunteers will be undertaking ‘Test & Learn’ events to better understand our role within the community, whilst also digitising our archive to make it more accessible.  This is the start of an ongoing process which will ensure our past is well communicated and used to inspire and educate all.
