We are closed over the winter:


Following a successful summer season in 2025 and Half Term opening  this autumn, the new Museum & Heritage Centre in Pole Barn Lane is now closed for the winter but will open again on Good Friday, 3 April 2026 for the Easter weekend, through to and including Bank Holiday Monday, 6 April. While we are closed to the public, the team will be working hard to produce more new displays as well as continuing with the digitisation of our archive collection. We look forward to seeing you again in 2026.

Community Meeting Room for Hire

The meeting room at 120 Pole Barn Lane can be hired for small meetings at £25 per session. The room is 14’ 9” x 7’ 10” (4.5m x 2.4m = 10.8sq.m). There is disabled access, plus a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.

Wi-Fi, projector, screen and a portable hearing loop are available, plus a kitchenette with kettle and fridge. There are also twenty chairs and two tables (4 ft x 2 ft); included in the cost of the hire. Sessions: 9 am to 12 pm, 12 noon to 3 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm or by arrangement.
